The high-pressure experimental group is happy to announce the recent hire of Dr. Jeremy Wykes. Jeremy comes to us from ANU, where he completed his PhD mid 2014 and has been working at ANU for the past 8 months.
Jeremy hails from Canberra and did his Honours, MPhil and PhD at ANU with Prof. John Mavrogenes and Prof. Hugh O’Neill. However, Jeremy took several opportunities to travel to the US to work in the experimental laboratory of Prof. Craig Manning in UCLA, both during his MPhil work and as a Fullbright Scholar during his PhD.
Jeremy is based at the Australian Synchrotron in Melbourne and is now working at the high-pressure facility which houses the Deformation DIA (large volume multi-anvil).
