Reading List

Population System | Data and Measures | Contemporary Situation
 Fertility | Mortality | Ageing | Politics | Environment

References

There is no set textbook for the unit. A reading list for each lecture topic is included. Most of the listed items are available in the Reserve section of the Library (Many of the journal articles are in e-reserve). References for the tutorials are given in the tutorial program section of this booklet.

Note: I have deliberately provided a lengthy reading list to give you an idea of the enormous amount of material on population. It is obviously not expected that you read everything on the list! You should attempt to read a selection of items on each lecture topic. The more you read, the more you will get out of the unit.
